Amy Michelle Long Beam of Allen, Texas passed away November 6, 2019, at the age of 52. Amy was born on October 19, 1967 in Abilene, Texas to parents, George William (Billy) and Sondra (Foster) Long. Her passing was due to complications from congestive heart failure. Amy loved Allen and Allen loved her. She started third grade in Allen ISD. Amy so loved her schools, teachers and friends. She had a good heart and remained connected with her friends and teachers. She was strong-willed and a fighter to the end. In high school Amy – along with fellow school mates - traveled with the “People to People Student Ambassador Program” to Europe, representing Allen High School. Amy lettered in volleyball as well as being in the Homecoming Court her senior year. She was also an Allen High School cheerleader. Amy loved her church and her church family. Vacation Bible School and youth trips were things she looked forward to each year. Even though she said she couldn’t carry a tune, she was in the church youth choir. Amy and her brother traveled with the choir to Yosemite National Park where the choir visited churches along the way and preformed concerts.
After having her two daughters, she continued to stay involved in the community with school trips, PTA and supporting them in all of their school and outside activities. Her life, of course, centered around her girls. Amy was the best mother, daughter, sister and friend that anyone could have.
Amy is survived by her daughters, Bailey Michelle Beam and Chloe Jade Beam both of Allen, Texas; her parents, Billy and Sondra Foster Long of Allen, Texas; two brothers, Jason (Kim) of Palmetto, Florida and Mitch (Amber) of Wylie, Texas; niece, Carly Long and nephews, Caleb and Chase Long.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 10, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Allen, 201 East McDermott Drive, Allen, Texas. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Butterfly Garden at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
