Amy Jane Steele, age 36 of Dallas, Texas passed away March 31, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 1, 1974, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, to Don and Sheri (Griffin) Steele. Amy graduated high school in 1992 from Plano Senior High; she attended the University of Mississippi and was a graduate of the University of North Texas in 1997, where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing; she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Amy currently worked as a paralegal with Easley & Marquis Attorneys at Law. Amy was an amazing, thoughtful daughter, big sister and friend. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, compassion for others along with the determination and strength she exhibited while she battled cancer. Her never fading bright smile that captured our hearts will be with us forever. Always smile when you think of Amy. Amy is survived by her parents, Don and Sheri Steele of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Christopher Steele of Dallas, Texas and Michael Steele of Denver, Colorado; grandmother, Shirley Boesen of Des Moines, Iowa; Godson Connor O’Brien of Brookfield, Connecticut; Loving aunts and uncles; Fab Five cousins, Jason Rollison, and Alicia Rollison; and Final Five cousins; Derek Gross, Lindsay Gross, Brooke Rollison, Danny and Kenny Griffin, cousin Joline Bailey of Earlham, Iowa; and many other loving friends and relatives. Amy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Myrtle Steele; and grandfather Daniel Griffin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Support Community North Texas Collin County Clubhouse (Gilda’s Club), One Works of Grace Plaza, 2710 Oak Lawn, Dallas, Texas, 75219 or at www.cancersupporttexas.org/allen/allen.asp A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011, at 2:00, at St Andrew United Methodist Church, in Plano, Texas. The family will receive friends during a remembrance gathering Thursday, April 7, 2011 evening beginning at 7:00p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
