Amy Melton of Anna, Texas passed away on March 14, 2024 at the age of 39. She was born on September 24, 1984 in Fort Worth, Texas and was adopted at an early age by loving parents Jack Melton and Josephine Melton (Bridges). Amy graduated from Brewer High School in Fort Worth and attended college at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs.
Amy was both an artist and a free spirit. She supported herself primarily working as a waitress where she touched the lives of many with her caring nature. Amy’s creative spirit flourished in her hobbies, where she found joy in sketching, crafting resin pieces, painting, and designing jewelry. Her artistic endeavors were a reflection of her ability to bring beauty into the world. Amy’s beautiful smile will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.
Amy found her true companion and soulmate in Jeffrey Neal. Their union in marriage, just two years ago, was a celebration of their long-time love and a deep friendship of over 20 years.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jeffrey Neal of Anna, Texas; daughter, Meadow Fox; son, Caeden Fortenberry; stepdaughter, Stevie Vavrik; her birth mother, Natalie Hammer; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Amy was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Jack Melton (2000) and Josephine Melton (2017).
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The family will receive guests during a visitation from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the funeral home. Following the service, a short procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
