IN LOVING MEMORY

Ami Danielle Nation

Apr 17 1975 - May 24 2025

Ami Danielle Nation, 50, of Little Elm, Texas, passed away on May 24, 2025, surrounded by her husband and daughters, following a sudden and devastating brain hemorrhage.

Ami was born on April 17, 1975, in McKinney, Texas, and lived a life defined by deep compassion, quiet strength, and an openhearted love for everyone she met. She was a devoted wife, an extraordinary mother, a loving grandmother, a loyal friend, and a bright light in every room she entered.

Ami celebrated 21 years of marriage with her husband Paul—her best friend, concert partner, and constant companion. Together, they built a life rooted in laughter, music, and love, raising three incredible daughters: Avery (24), Molly (20), and Holland (18), each of whom carries Ami’s light forward. In recent years, Ami embraced a new and joyful role as “GaGa” to her cherished grandson, Brooks (1), who brought her endless pride and delight.

Ami had a profound appreciation for the arts. She was a passionate lover of live music and loved to witness musicians in their element. Ami loved to travel and see new places with her family; creating memories for her girls was always a priority. Ami had a knack for finding joy in the moment, whether it was a quiet morning at home, a beach trip with her girls, or a grilled cheese stand at a summer music festival.

Ami forgave easily, loved deeply, and saw the best in people—often before they saw it in themselves. She gave her full heart to her family, her friends, and even strangers who needed a little light.

In her final act of generosity, Ami chose to be an organ donor—giving the gift of life to others. Multiple recipients across the country are now receiving the life-saving gift of her organs, a testament to her spirit of compassion and service.

Ami is survived by her husband Paul; daughters Avery, Molly, and Holland; and grandson Brooks. She is also survived by her father Roger Forte; her brother Michael Forte; her sister Megan Vela; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends whose lives are richer for having known her.

A celebration of Ami’s life will be held at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.  The service will also be live streamed at the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/ami-danielle-nation. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Ami with a memorial gift in her name to the Southwest Transplant Alliance and consider becoming an organ donor.

Memorial gifts may be made online at https://organ.kindful.com/ or by mail to:  Southwest Transplant Alliance Foundation, 8190 Manderville Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231.

Ami was one of a kind. She was loved beyond measure and will be deeply missed.
