Amelia “Millie” Katherine (Janos) Alegnani of Plano, Texas passed away on March 5, 2022 at the age of 89. She was born on March 6, 1932 to Albert and Catherine (Valasek) Janos in Flint, Michigan. Millie grew up in Flint, Michigan where she graduated from high school. As a young lady, she moved to New York and worked for Eastern Airlines. While living in New York, she met the love of her life, Raymond Don Alegnani, at church, and they were married on September 17, 1955 in Lincoln Park, Michigan. Millie enjoyed baking, sewing, and working crossword puzzles. She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Dallas, Texas.
Millie is survived by her children, Mark Alegnani and wife, Mandy of Dallas, Texas, Janice Alegnani of Addison, Texas and Joel Alegnani and wife, Melanie of Plano, Texas; son-in-law, David Murphy of Keller, Texas; grandchildren, Sasha Alegnani, Tasha Alegnani, Samantha Alegnani and husband, Preston Baker, Elizabeth Alegnani, Joshua Alegnani, Andrew Alegnani and wife, Ale, and Alicia DeYoung and husband, Ryan; great-grandchildren, Aurora DeYoung, Seth Raymond Hernandez, Cayden Woodworth, Liam Baker and Noah Baker; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Catherine Janos; husband, Raymond Don Alegnani; daughter, Bonnie Murphy; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 North Central Expressway, Allen, Texas 75013. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
