Amelia Rose Hernandez of McKinney, Texas, passed away on May 11, 2025, at the tender age of 2. Born on February 20, 2023, to Elijah and Erika (Sifuentes) Hernandez, Amelia brought immeasurable joy and love to all who knew her during her short but beautiful life.
Amelia was a bright light — animated, intelligent, and full of life. She was baptized at St. Michael Catholic Church by Father Felipe.
Amelia was a silly, happy baby who lit up every room with her laughter and charm. She adored painting, playing with stickers, singing, and dancing. Her favorite movie was Encanto, and nothing delighted her more than the “Hot Dog Dance” from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She had a special bond with her beloved cat Venus and delighted in trying all kinds of foods — never one to shy away from a new taste. She also enjoyed reading, cooking and crafts.
Amelia bravely battled HLH for six months, displaying strength far beyond her years. Though her time here was brief, the impact she made will be everlasting. She was truly a ray of sunshine and will be missed by many.
Amelia is survived by her parents, Elijah and Erika Hernandez, grandparents, and aunts and uncles who will cherish her memory.
