Amalia Gonzalez of McKinney, Texas passed away on September 16, 2021 at the age of 76. She was born on July 10, 1945 to Miguel Gonzalez and Albina Vazquez in Mexico. Amalia married Rafael Salinas in 1967 in Mexico. She was a longtime member of St. Michael the Archangel Church in McKinney, Texas.
Amalia is survived by her husband, Rafael Salinas of McKinney, Texas; 5 daughters, Maria De La Luz and husband, Santiago of Mexico, Veronica Salinas and husband, Oscar of Princeton, Texas, Maricela Salinas and husband, Ignacio of McKinney, Texas, Maribel Salinas and husband, Omar of McKinney, Texas and Candelaria Salinas and husband, Juan of Princeton, Texas; 5 sons, Andres Salinas and wife, Isabelle of Denison, Texas, Julian Salinas and wife, Maria of McKinney, Texas, Rafael Salinas and wife Mayra of McKinney, Texas, Luis Salinas and wife, Norma of McKinney, Texas and Miguel Salinas and wife, Alejandra of McKinney, Texas; 35 grandchildren; sister, Maria Gonzalez of Mexico; brothers, Miguel Gonzalez and wife, Ophelia of Mexico, Moises Gonzalez and wife, Martha of Mexico and Gregorio Gonzalez and wife, Susanna of Mexico; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Candelaria Gonzalez and Margarita Gonzalez.
A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. A visitation will immediately follow from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 20, 2021 at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 411 Paula Road, McKinney, Texas 75069.
Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
