Alyce Lorraine Klick

Alyce Lorraine (Lawrence) Klick of McKinney, Texas passed away on July 25, 2018 at the age of 89.  She was born on January 23, 1929 to Granville Clark and Frances (Boehm) Lawrence in Woodward, Oklahoma.  Alyce attended Woodward school until 1944, then attended and graduated from Mt. Carmel Academy in Wichita, Kansas in 1947.  She attended one year at Stephen College in Columbia, then went on to the University of Oklahoma where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta and graduated with her B.S. in Education in 1951. Alyce married John Claude Klick on August 11, 1951 in Woodward, Oklahoma.  They lived in Oklahoma City until 1979, where they raised their two daughters.  John and Alyce moved to Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado where she helped start Paradise Preschool.   In1995, they moved to Allen, Texas.  Alyce taught kindergarten and preschool in Oklahoma City and Crested Butte, Colorado.

Alyce is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, John Klick of McKinney; daughters, Cookie Teeter and husband, Larry of Plano, Texas, Karen Klick of Denver, Colorado; grandson, Jamie Teeter; granddaughter, Lorraine Teeter; and numerous other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Granville Clark Lawrence, Sr. and Frances Lawrence; three sisters, Margueritte Smith, Jane Jamison and Nina Darbro; and one brother, Granville Clark Lawrence, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
