IN LOVING MEMORY

Alma Pauline Ball Terrell

Oct 20 1931 - Jul 05 2026

Alma Pauline (Curtis) Ball Terrell, a resident of Plano, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026 at the age of 94.  She was born on October 20, 1931, to her loving parents, Roy Curtis and Sylvia Jo (Spinks) Curtis in Denton County, Texas.

Alma grew up in Plano and graduated from Plano High School, where she developed the strong values that would guide her throughout her life.

In 1950, she married the love of her life, Charles E. Ball, and together they were blessed with three beloved children: Paulette, Roy, and Alma Jo.  She was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother who always put her family first. She created a home filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories. She was an exceptional cook whose meals brought her family together around the table. While she could be tough when the situation called for it, she was rarely strict, choosing instead to lead with patience, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who held a very special place in her heart.

She dedicated many years of service to Texas Instruments before retiring after 27 years with the company. Following her retirement, she continued caring for children by working in the daycare at First Baptist Church of Plano, where she faithfully served for many years. Her gentle spirit, nurturing heart, and genuine love for children left a lasting impression on the many families whose lives she touched.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Plano, where she worshiped faithfully for many years. In 2002, she married Floyd Terrell, beginning a new chapter filled with companionship and love.

She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her steadfast faith, her servant's heart, her warm hospitality, and the love she so freely shared with everyone around her. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Alma is survived by her children, Paulette Smith, Roy Ball, and Alma Jo Shell (Robert), all of Plano, Texas; step-son, Michael Terrell (Vanda) of Kalispell, Montana; son-in-law, Charles Anderson of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Jeanie Rawlinson of Lavon, Texas, Michele Lafferty (Michael) of McKinney, Texas, Misty Lewis (Grenville) of Lindale, Texas, Amy Escamilla (Alex) of Allen, Texas, Chris Shell (Paul) of Wylie, Texas, Amanda Smith-Houck of Van Alstyne, Texas, Chris Terrell (Ericka) of Kalispell, Montana, Shawna Easton (Chad) of McKinney, Texas, Nathan Dunkel of Princeton, Texas, Brittany Terrell (Ernie) of McKinney, Texas, and Ann Marie Anderson of Princeton, Texas; twenty great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren; and a host of extended family members who will miss her and fondly cherish her memory.
