Mr. Allen Leroy Nichols, Jr. age 71, of Aubrey, Texas passed away November 26, 2005, in Denton, Texas. He was born February 17, 1934, in El Reno, Oklahoma to Allen Leroy Nichols, Sr. and Bertha (Mangus) Nichols. Mr. Nichols served in the U.S. Marines Corps and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a Chief Air Traffic Controller for the U.S. Marines. He is survived by his sons, Allen Nichols, III and wife Diane of Savannah, Georgia, Robert Nichols and wife, Teresa of Aubrey; daughter, Penny Thompson and husband, Mike of Roseville, California; 8 grandchildren; brothers, R.B. Nichols of Carthage, Missouri, Robert Nichols of Ashboro, North Carolina, Darrell Nichols of Sawyer, Oklahoma and Everett Allen Nichols of Melissa, Texas; sisters, Lawine Pinkard of Plano, Lois Davis and Alena Funsch both of Princeton. His parents and brother, T.L. Nichols preceded him in death. Graveside services were held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, November 28, 2005 at the DFW National Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Directors.
