Alfred Ray Boydstun, I, age 69, of Princeton, Texas, passed away October 2, 2014. He was born April 22, 1945 in Hebron, Texas, to J. B. and Lucile (Peters) Boydstun. On November 23, 1967, Alfred married Patricia June Morrison in Durant, Oklahoma. He was a 1963 graduate of Plano High School. Alfred proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member and Quartermaster of the VFW Post 9167 in Princeton, Texas. Alfred worked for Dallas Aero Service at Love Field then in Plano, and also at Peters Redimix. He had also owned his own sand and gravel hauling business. Alfred attended Faith Baptist Church of Princeton.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia June Boydstun of Princeton; children, Alfred Ray Boydstun, II of Princeton, Brent Ashley Boydstun and wife Theresa of Princeton, Stacey Nicole Schuble and husband Jonathan of Melissa, Texas; grandchildren, Anthony Ray Williams and wife Jo Ellen, James Taylor Boydstun, Mason James Schuble and a granddaughter on the way; great-grandchildren, Allie Rae Williams and Harley Jo Williams; sisters, Cora Holloway of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Fay Hartline of Weston, Texas, Sue Garrett of Nevada, Texas, Glenda Skinner of The Colony, Texas and Carla Jones, of Nevada, Texas; brother, Glenn Boydstun of Dallas, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Alfred is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marion B. Boydstun, Jackie William Boydstun and Clarence Dowell Boydstun.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Brother Stan Fike officiating. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held beginning at 5:00 p.m., Saturday evening at the funeral home.
