My Dear Beloved Husband Al, I love you. I miss you. I know that you did not want to leave me and our children, but God had other plans for you. I thank God for allowing me to have you for Fifty years. Fifty years of marriage, and what an adventure it was. On the road again sums it up. People are amazed when I tell them where our children were born: Michael in Denver, Colorado, Kevin in Toyko, Japan, David in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Denise in Wasington,DC. Your work on earth was done. You were a great Husband and a great Father. You are now at peace. No more pain, no more suffering. You are safely at home in Heaven. Save a place for me, my Love. Until we meet again. With Love, Rose Rose Mae August, March 15, 2015 With love and prays, we wish you peace and a place seated at the right hand of the Lord. You were a great brother and will certainly be deeply missed. Perhaps you can help entertaining those who have gone before you with your never ending jokes. We love you. Charles and Pat Pierre-Auguste, December 17, 2014 Sending our deepest condolences. Praying for you and your family! Jason LaTonia Arvie Jr., Haunreiter, December 14, 2014 To Aunt Rose, my dear cousins, and family--many prayers for strength and my sincere sympathy---Uncle Alfred you will always be remembered for your kindness, quietness, and many talents achieved.Rest in Peace-your work has been done Lori Ann Arvie-Payne, December 14, 2014 Mr. August As a young man who grew up without a father, I admired the way you raised your four children. I was impressed how you demanded excellence in exchange for unconditional love and needs fulfilled. I knew, when I became a father, I would model myself in this way, your way. As I spent more time with the August family, I notice the kind of husband you were to Mrs. August. Again, you set the bar that I have strived to achieve. A big measure of a man is how he leaves the earth when goes to Heaven. Here, Mr. August, is where you have left the biggest impact. For me, my life has been forever touched by your children especially Michael and David. Who individually, have shaped, impacted and brightened my life as much as any other friends I have. Mr. August, with Rose, Kevin, Denise, Michael and David, you have indeed left the world a much better place. Thanks for being an inspiration and a guide, Michael Vincent Cicello, December 14, 2014 “It isn’t the date on either end that counts, but how they used their dash for that dash between the dates represents all the time they spent alive on earth and now only those who loved them know what that little line is worth.” Reginald & Machanda Brown, December 14, 2014 My sincere condolences to the family during this time.
