Alexina "Ena" Hunter Gracie

Alexina “Ena” Hunter Gracie, 84, passed away peacefully on 6/19/2024 at her daughter’s home in Frisco, Texas. She was born on 01/02/1940 to Alexander and Gertrude Ritchie in Kirkcaldy, Scotland.

Ena is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, William “Bill” Gracie, her daughter, Carol Pennington, grandchildren Cody Pennington, Jackie Luebbert, Justin Pennington, and Skylar Jacques, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends, who will cherish their memories of Ena. She was preceded in death by parents, Alexander and Gertrude Ritchie, brother, Alex Blair, daughter, Deborah Luebbert, son-in-law, James Luebbert, and grandchildren, James “Jimbo” Luebbert and Jeremy Luebbert.

Ena's friends and family will remember her for her lovely spirit and beautiful smile.  She loved to travel, entertain, sing, and dance starting at an early age with her best friend, Irene Mustard Keil, as part of their “Dallas Sisters” act in the late 40s, early 50s in Scotland. She was later a World Champion Scottish Highland Dancer and taught dancing to many children in the Dallas area.  She also performed on the Dallas children's show, Peppermint Place many times in the 70s and 80s and was an extra on the TV show Dallas and on several commercials and movies filmed locally. She loved riding and showing horses and was a 4H Leader supporting many youth in the Dallas area. Ena and Bill also traveled the world and shared a lifetime of adventures.

A celebration of life will be held at Liberty Baptist Church, 8124 Main St., Frisco, TX 75033 on 06/29/2024 at 2 p.m.
