With deep sorrow and profound respect, we announce the passing of Mama Agnes Makane Arrey (née Ngoeh) married to Rev Dr, Arrey Ignatius. Mama Agnes was born on February 12, 1964, in Nganjo Bolende, South West Province, Republic of Cameroon. Mama Agnes was the beloved daughter of Mr. Mathias Elangwe Ngoeh and Mrs. Mary Ndie Ngoeh, both of blessed memory.
She began her educational journey in Nganjo Bolende and Kake. She graduated from the Vocational Technical College of Art, Science, and Technology, Muyuka. With a passion for nurturing young minds, she faithfully served as a teacher at the Presbyterian Primary School, Muyuka, for several years.
Answering a higher calling to care for the sick, Mama Agnes pursued nursing at the Government Nursing Training Center, Limbe, in the South West Province. She began her nursing career at the Government General Hospital, Tiko, where she served diligently for nearly two decades. She was later transferred to Bonasama Hospital in Douala, where she continued to render compassionate and dedicated care for over a decade.
Mama Agnes graduated from Wesley International Bible College Nigeria, with a Diploma in Theology and was ordain as a pastor in The New Community Methodist Church where did an outstanding job to win souls for Christ and to disciple them.
Mama Agnes later relocated to the United States of America in 2011, where she joined her husband and focused on raising their three children and continued with her pastoral ministry with His Ambassadors, Dallas. While in the United States, she served with dedication as a phlebotomist at Dallas Medical Center for 5 years.
She is survived by her devoted husband, The Reverend Dr. Ignatius Arrey Agbor; her beloved children, Precious Ebot Arrey, Mary Oben Arrey, Agborkamba Arreyndiep Ignatius and a grand daughter, Emmanuella Ebot Agbor. She also leaves to cherish her memory her sister, The Reverend Dr. Roseline Ngoeh; her brother, Mr. Pius Ngoeh; her beloved nephew, Henri Nambangi Njuma; her niece, Regina Dikia Ngoeh; her grandniece, Mary Makane Ngoeh; her grandnephews, Henry Nambangi Ngoeh and Mathias Elangwe Ngoeh; and her great-grandnephew, Jaden Ngoeh.
Mama Agnes is further survived by a host of extended family members, friends, colleagues, and spiritual sons and daughters in the Lord.
Her life was a true testament to service, love, compassion, and unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever cherished.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive guests during a visitation on Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
