Agnes Grace Pokorny

Agnes Grace Pokorny (nee Provateare) passed away peacefully on December 1, 2023, at the age of 97. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert John Pokorny, with whom she shared many wonderful years of marriage.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Agnes was the loving sister of Jean Barbic, Ruth Exton, and Tom Provateare, all of whom preceded her in death. She cherished the memories and bond she shared with her siblings and their families.

Agnes was the proud mother of two sons, Ronald John Pokorny (deceased) and John (Jack) Robert Pokorny and his wife, Melody. She was a pillar of strength and love for her sons, guiding them through life's joys and challenges.

In addition to being a devoted mother, Agnes was a cherished step-grandmother to Jerod Kristof Brinkman, Sean Michael Brinkman, and Bryan Christopher Colley.   She also took pride in being a step-great-grandmother to Christian Le Colley, Carter Scott Colley, and Saylor Ruth Brinkman. Agnes loved watching them grow and celebrating their achievements.  She had a special place in her heart for her extended family, including her many nieces, great nieces, cousins, and second cousins. She found joy in maintaining those relationships with each of them, cherishing the bond that connected them all.

Agnes Grace Pokorny was a woman of grace, kindness, and unwavering love. She will forever be remembered for her devotion to her family, her warm and welcoming nature, and the love she spread to all those fortunate enough to know her.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Friday evening, December 8, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Golubski Deliberato Funeral Home, 4747 Turney Road and Garfield Blvd., Garfield Heights, Ohio 44125.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., December 9, 2023 at Saint Monica Catholic Church, 13623 Rockside Road, Garfield Heights, Ohio 44125.

Following the funeral services, Agnes will be laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery, 480 West Highland Road, Northfield, Ohio 44067, where she will join her beloved husband and other departed loved ones.
