Adelmira “Adel” Rojas Garza of Frisco, Texas, passed away on November 13, 2025, at the age of 81. She was born on February 20, 1944, in Robstown, Texas, to Ysidoro Rojas and Beatriz Nerio Rojas.
On March 11, 1961, Adel married the love of her life, Jose Luis Garza, in their hometown of Robstown. They shared many joyful years together until his passing in 2005. Their enduring love and partnership remained one of the great blessings of her life.
Adel started her career at Home Interiors, where her unwavering work ethic and dedication allowed her to thrive and build lasting connections with colleagues who soon became like family. After retiring, she decided to embark on a new journey and began a second career at JCPenney, working as a customer service representative. Her dedication, adaptability, and strong work ethic led her to serve in nearly every department over the years. She was well-known for her warm smile, her helpful spirit, her straightforward honesty, and her unwavering commitment to those she served.
A woman with an enthusiastic love for community, Adel was an avid bingo player and an active participant in the Frisco Senior Citizens group. She served faithfully as an election poll worker every election season and was a devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for more than 50 years, supporting the parish since its inception.
Adel will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her kindness, strength, and generosity touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her and will live on in their hearts and memories.
Adel is survived by sons, Joe L. Garza of Allen, Texas, and Jose Luis Garza and wife, Kristina of Frisco, Texas; grandson, Austin Cooper Garza Kilpatrick of Allen, Texas; brother, Alonzo Nerio Rojas of Van Alstyne, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and cherished friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Luis Garza Sr.; brothers, Justo Rojas and Gregorio Rojas; sisters, Beatrice Nerio Diaz and Viviana Rojas Zapata; and her son/nephew, Adam Ramirez.
May she rest in eternal peace.
A rosary and visitation will be held from 6:00–8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Berkshire Chapel, 9703 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 21, 2025, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 Eldorado Parkway, Frisco, Texas 75034. Graveside interment at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013 will follow the church service.
