Funeral services for Addie Lee Buchanan Horton, 97 year old Blue Ridge resident, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday December 4, 2011 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Pastor Jack Dodson will officiate. Burial will be in the Blue Ridge Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday December 3, 2011 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Mrs. Horton was born January 2, 1914 at Buda, Texas. Her parents were Hendrix and Mary Alice Enscore Buchanan. She married Joe D. Horton, Sr. May 30, 1936 at Rockwall, Texas. She was a seamstress and a member of the Sedalia Baptist Church. She passed away Wednesday November 30th at the Life Care Hospital in Plano. She is survived by her daughter: Linda Milam of Blue Ridge; her sons and daughters-in-law: J.D. Jr. and Linda Horton of Blue Ridge and Mike and Mickey Horton of Van Alstyne; her daughter and son-in-law: Marilyn and Larry LaFon of Princeton; her brother and sister-in-law: Arthur Ray and Winnie Buchanan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her sister-in-law: Mary Buchanan of Denison; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by 6 brothers, 1 sister, 2 sister-in-laws (Edna Horton and Mable Buchanan), 1 grandson and 2 great-great grandsons.
