IN LOVING MEMORY

Addie Bea Dixon

Oct 01 1949 - Dec 13 2023

Addie Bea Dixon was born October 1, 1949, in Clarksdale, Mississippi.  Addie was the first of 10 children born to the union of Henry Clay and Callie Bea Steel (Tigue).  Addie married Charles E. Dixon in Chicago, Illinois in 1970 and to this union, Callie Bea and Tiffanie Marie were born.

Addie moved to Garland, Texas in the mid-1980s and retired as an accounting clerk from Sears & Roebuck to immediately begin her new chapter as a full-time grandmother.  Her passions were raising her 2 grandbabies, being a mom to her 2 daughters and never missing a moment to talk about her love for K-Pop and Korean dramas.  She dedicated her life to being a devoted mother and grandmother, and she cherished her family.

Addie was preceded in death by her father Henry C. Steel and brothers Henry C. Steel, Jr. and Clayton Steel.

On Wednesday, December 13, 2023, the Lord instructed His angels to bring her home.  She leaves to celebrate her life, daughters; Callie Bea Harvey (Patrick) and Tiffanie Marie Williams (Robert); granddaughters; Sydnie Marie Williams and Aubrie Ellis Harvey; her mother, Callie Bea Steel; Siblings; Claudette Mathis, Jeanette James (Henry), Shirley Baux, Rickey C. Steel, Michael Ray Steel, Delores Taylor, and Lear J. Nance (Robert). She also leaves Charles E. Dixon and the extended Dixon Family, a very close niece, Aisha Mathis and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, cousins and friends who will forever cherish her in their hearts.

Mommie, you are our hero in life.  We are thankful for every moment we shared with you.  Our hope is that our girls will love and cherish us as much as the bar you set.  – Forever your girls, Callie Bea & Tiffanie Marie.

Grandma, a.k.a, “Tots”, we love you and promise that we will continue to make you proud of us and “never give up”.  – Love, your grandbabies, Sydnie Marie & Aubrie Ellis.
