Abigail Laurel Marsh passed away March 6, 2024 in McKinney,Texas, at the age of 40. She was born to Eric Dean and Laura Lynn (DeJonge) Marsh on October 17, 1983 in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Abby graduated from Highlands Ranch High School in Colorado as the school salutatorian. In her younger years, she did gymnastics from age 3 to 15 and spent much of her time as a level 10 gymnast before she moved to track and field. She was the Colorado State Champion in the 300 hurdles and second in the 100 hurdles in the 5A category. She received a full ride scholarship at the University of Vermont where she ran track. She then attended Colorado Chistian College where she received an Associate degree in Biblical Studies and was a couple of semesters away from getting her BA in Rhetoric and Philosophy at Colorado University at Denver. While attending college, Abby would nanny for families which she thoroughly enjoyed. Abby loved to volunteer for those in need, both human and pets. Abby loved the Lord with all her heart and was a prayer warrior. This passion led to her to being generous in her time and donations to different orphanages and organizations. Abby loved finding new recipes and making them her own. She loved her cats and playing and cuddling with them, her latest being Eli. Abby loved her family and loved being an older sister to her two younger sisters, Joclynn and Rachel. As well as being a loving older sister, Abby was a caring and fun aunt to her niece and was excited about her upcoming nephew. Abby loved going on tropical trips and traveling with friends and family.
Abby is survived by her parents, Eric and Laura Marsh of Fairview, Texas; sister, Joclynn Marsh and fiancé, Emilio Grandio of Houston, Texas; sister, Rachel Marsh and fiancé, William May of Houston, Texas; niece, Olivia Grandio of Houston, Texas; grandmother, Ramona Sponhower of Plano, Texas; grandparents, Fritz and Fran Marsh of Roach, Missouri; and many loving family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The service will also be live streamed at the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/abigail-laurel-marsh. The family will receive guests for a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park following the service.
