Abigail June Kendall of Anna, Texas passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident on June 6, 2017 at the age of 14. She was born on July 3, 2002 to Terry Allen Kendall and Kristi Ann Layton in McKinney, Texas. Abigail was a sophomore honors student at Anna High School. Abigail was a member of the Anna HS Band. She played clarinet, sax and even some guitar. She had a love of all music and if she was awake she could be found singing. Her voice rang out with the enthusiasm that she lived her life by. She was a friend, daughter, granddaughter, sister and niece. She was a Christian with a strong belief in Jesus Christ and a heart of kindness that showed through. She attended Covenant Church in McKinney, Texas with her mother.
Abigail is survived by her mother, Kristi McCarley Kendall of Anna, Texas; father and step-mother, Terry and Kari Kendall also of Anna, Texas; brother, Hunter Kendall of San Marcos, Texas; step-brothers, Riley Stockton and Tyson Wynn-Kendall of Anna, Texas; sister, Savannah Kendall and step-sister, Lexi Stockton both of Anna, Texas and both recent 2017 graduates of Anna HS; grandmothers, Lee Ann (Nani) McCarley of Anna, Texas, Joyce (Grandma) Kendall of Rowlett, Texas and Rita Martin of Carrollton, Texas; grandparents, John and Jonelle White of Fairview, Texas; great-grandmothers, Mary Ann McCarley of McKinney, Texas and Edith McLaughlin of Waxahachie, Texas; uncle and aunt, Wesley and Emily Layton of Harrisonburg, Virginia; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Abigail was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Dr. David Howell (PaPa) McCarley who Abigail had a strong attachment to and worshiped and Ronald Kendall; uncle, Kevin Kendall; and aunt, Rebecca Layton.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Anna High School, 1107 Rosamond Parkway, Anna, Texas 75409 with Rev. Matt Tucker officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Abigail Kendall Memorial Fund at the Texas Star Bank, attention Amanda, 402 W. White St., Anna, Texas 75409. All donations will aide in the funding of the Anna High School Band. Family may be visited at the home of Lee Ann McCarly, 14848 CR 525, Anna, Texas.
