Mr. A. C. Sanders, age 85, of McKinney, Texas, passed away September 15, 2017. A. C. was born February 15, 1932, in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, to Robert Baker and Mollie Lee (Morse) Sanders. He married Peggy Ruth Posey on December 5, 1952, in Mississippi. A. C. was a great person who loved everyone. He had a wonderful sense of humor. A. C. loved his family, his grandkids and great-grandkids. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking, especially making bird houses. A. C. loved his westerns and was known as the hollering man at the Wylie Opry held every Saturday.
He is survived by his son, David Sanders and wife, Betty of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Shelly Elsey and husband, Chris, Nicole Thompson and husband, Aaron, and David Sanders, all of McKinney, Texas; great-grandchildren, Timmothy, Sarah, Maddie, Nathaniel, Britney, Seth, Savanah, Alyssa, and Trevor; niece, Karen Hefner of McKinney, Texas; and sister-in-law, Estelle Sanders, also of McKinney.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Peggy Ruth Sanders, and brothers, Cecil Sanders and Robert Sanders.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2017, Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
