Missionary Robbie Lee Golden, age 89, of McKinney, Texas passed away December 16, 2011. She was born September 7, 1922 in Longview, Texas to Abraham Johnson and Katherine (Ford) Johnson. On May 5, 1937 she married Alvin Golden in Allen, Texas. Robbie was a member of Shiloh Church Of God In Christ in Melissa, Texas, where she was the District Missionary Emeritus. She loved sewing, cooking and people. She enjoyed reading and singing. Robbie was a Bible Scholar. She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Dunbar of Allen, Texas, Brenda Brar of Prosper, Texas; son Rickey Golden of McKinney, Texas; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Willie Johnson of McKinney, Texas; sister, Sadelia Walker of McKinney, Texas and many other loving nieces, nephews, friends and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Golden, Sr.; sons, Alvin Golden, Jr. and Bobby Golden; parents, Abraham and Katherine Johnson; brothers, James Johnson and Cornelius Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Shiloh Church Of God In Christ, Melissa, Texas with Pastor Paul Jackson and Pastor Earnest Dunbar officiating. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery, McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends during a wake from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Allen, Texas.
