Zachary Ryan Smith, of Plano, Texas, passed away on May 28, 2013 at the age of 21. He was born on October 10, 1991, in Dallas, Texas, to Randall Scott and Tami Lynn (Johnson) Smith. Zachary grew up in Plano, where he graduated from Plano Senior High School in 2010. He attended Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Zachary loved playing basketball, ice hockey and being outdoors.
He is survived by his mother, Tami Smith of Plano, Texas; siblings, Caili and Colton Smith, both of Plano, Texas; grandparents, Barbara and Bob Johnson of Plano, Texas, Barbara and Willie Smith of Miami, Oklahoma; great-grandmother, Pat Sewell of Huntington Beach, California; uncle, Tony Johnson, his wife Liz and their children, Megan and Bryce all of Plano, Texas; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Zachary is preceded in death by his father, Randall Scott Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, May 31, 2013, at First Baptist Church, 1001 North Central Expressway, Richardson, Texas 75080.
