Winston Alonzo Morrison

Winston Alonzo Morrison, age 81, passed away on September 20th, 2012. Winston was born in Kingston, Jamaica on June 14, 1931. As a young man Winston attended Kingston College. Upon graduation Winston enrolled in the Jamaica Constabulary Force, working as a Police Officer for approximately 10 years. Winston was a man of strong faith and was extremely active at Wessley Church in Kingston. After leaving the police force Winston relocated to London, England where he lived for over 25 years. In 1967, Winston relocated back to Jamaica and was employed at the American Embassy for 3 years.  During his time in Jamaica he happened to fall in love with his neighbor, Vilma, and it has been history ever since.  In 1967 they took their family and moved to Brooklyn, NY.  Winston was employed at Cornish Knitting Industries until retirement in 1988. Winstons' favorite past-time was solving the NY Times Crossword Puzzle which he solved everyday with ease until he left us. Winston also enjoyed cooking, horse racing, music, dancing and spending quality time with his family.  Winston and Vilma relocated from New York to McKinney, Texas in 2008, where they enjoyed living with their family.  He is survived by his wife Vilma Clarke-Morrison.  His children Joseph, Janet, Janice, Alfred, Michael Sr., and Christopher.  His grandchildren Michael Jr., Christina, Sara, Kimberly, Robert, David, Dane, Ryan, Jaden, Antoinette, Tricia, Jonathan, Roget, Kori, Darien, Kameron, Joshua, Jessica, and great grand-daughter Leah Rene.  Children-in-law Patricia Rada, Dr. Warren Williams,  Patrick White, and Marcia Clarke.  He is also remembered by countless other family members and friends.
