Winnie Owens of Howe, Texas passed away January 15, 2012 at the age of 96. She was born September 11, 1915 to Finnis and Clara (Hughes) Rutledge in McKinney, Texas. She married Clifford Owens in 1937 in McKinney. Winnie is survived by her sister, Annie Bell Stevens and husband Ralph of Howe, Texas, Irene Ahlfinger of Sulphur Springs, Texas; brother Eugene Rutledge of Richardson, Texas and a host of other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Owens; parents, Finnis and Clara Rutledge; brothers, Willie Rutledge, Leon Rutledge; sisters, Lillie Pearl Darland, Minnie Allen, and Katherine Shaw. A graveside service will be held, 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas with Dr. Bruce Austin officiating. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Tuesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
