Wilma Ann Shingshang, (affectionately known as Nenaw), age 84, of Princeton, Texas, passed away June 6, 2013, in Garland, Texas. Wilma was born February 27, 1929, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Wilbur Rush and Luna Edith (Stevens) McMillan. She married Allen Perryman Shingshang on February 15, 1953, in Port Arthur. Wilma was a fifty year member of the Eastern Star at Buckner Lodge in Dallas, Texas. She was an avid fisherman and also loved fish frys. Wilma and her husband, Allen, enjoyed taking summer vacations in Colorado with their children. She was a member of Culleoka Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Charles W. Shingshang and wife, Gwendolyn of Mesquite, Texas; daughter, Edith P. Alexander and husband, Bruce of Princeton, Texas; granddaughters, Ceciley Hinshaw and husband, Jake of Vilsek Germany, Sabrina Shingshang of Mesquite, Texas, and Kim Jones and husband, Ryan of McKinney, Texas; grandson, Clint Alexander and wife, Tonya of Princeton, Texas; great-grandchildren, Jack, Lily, and Adalynn; and sister, Judine McMillan of Princeton, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Edith Jane Pearson, and grandson, Jimmy Allen Alexander.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Saturday afternoon at the funeral home.
