Wilma Louise (Barnum) Maynard was born in Enid, Oklahoma on January 12, 1931, to Roy and Emma (Yoder) Barnum. She married B. T. Maynard of Dallas on May 19, 1951 in Rockwall, Texas. Wilma was a past Worth Matron of Richardson Chapter 921 and McKinney Chapter 518 O.E.S. She was also a past president of McKinney Assembly 263 SOOB. In addition, Wilma was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #96 in McKinney and a life member of the Texas Society Order of Confederate Rose. She was a member of Dunn Memorial Baptist Church in McKinney. She is survived by her husband, B. T. Maynard of McKinney, Texas; son, Jesse Maynard and wife, Marilyn of Princeton, Texas; daughters, Dorothy Maynard of Ft. Worth, Texas, Margaret Brown and husband, Danny of Wylie, Texas, and Virginia Maynard of McKinney, Texas; two grandsons; three granddaughters; four great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and brother, Keith Barnum and wife, Betty of Edmond, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m., Monday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
