Mr. Willie Ray Ruyle, age 82, of Gunter, Texas passed away December 26, 2006, at his home. He was born April 13, 1924 in McKinney, Texas to John Grafton and Velma Irene (Lewis) Ruyle. On May 14, 1946 he married Millie Christine Davis in McKinney, Texas. Mr. Ruyle proudly served in the United States Army during WWII and worked 36 years at US Brass of Plano where he retired in 1989. He is survived by his daughters, Anna Irene Anderson and husband, Ronnie of Garland, Patricia Yuvonne Blake of Gunter and Vivian Kay Owen and husband, Don of Gunter; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine in 1988; brother, Herchel (Buck) Ruyle; sister, Violet Lourrene McCourry and a son, Lennie Ray Ruyle in 1997. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2006 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Friday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 p.m., Friday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
