Willie Mae Smith Jones was born March 5, 1927 at Oak Grove, Louisiana to Wesley Eugene Smith and Mattie Sue Kersh Smith. She married John Crawford Jones on October 2, 1949 at Oak Grove, Louisiana. She died Monday, February 22, 2010 at Brentwood Place in Denison, Texas at the age of 82. She was a resident of Trenton, Texas. She loved to play games, especially Aggravation and Chicken Feet, and she loved to win. She was a very loving mother always there for her children, grandchildren and all her family and friends that she made a part of her life. She didn't just take you as a friend, to her you became family. She is survived by son, Ray Jones of Trenton, Texas; daughter, Pat Faulkner and husband Troy of Oliveville, Tennessee; daughter, Kathy Miller and husband Randy of Trenton, Texas; daughter, Laurie Alexander and husband Jack of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Wilma Gann of Russellville, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 55 years, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Zion Methodist Church, Hamburg, Arkansas. Officiating the service will be Pastor Edward Gulledge. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Hamburg, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Ray Jones, Randy Miller, Jack Alexander, Robert Gifford, Jeff Meeks, and Johnny Walthall. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marvin Davis and David Walthall. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until service time on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Zion Methodist Church.
