William Robert Wallace, age 87, of Murphy, Texas, passed away January 22, 2014, in Lewisville, Texas. William was born April 4, 1926, in Gilmer, Texas, to Lloyd and Alice (Jasper) Wallace. He married Elda Lucille Hill on January 7, 1950, in Dallas, Texas. William proudly served his country in the United States Army Aircorp during World War II. He was a pilot for Braniff Airlines for thirty-seven years.
He is survived by his daughters, Becky Wilson and husband, Allen of Murphy, Texas and Linda Sue Norris of Denton, Texas; grandchildren, Allen Wilson, Jr. and Clinton D. Wilson, both of Allen, Texas, Tracy Norris of Denton, Texas, Amy Love of Corinth, Texas, Julie Martin of Denton, Texas, Kenny Trapp, Stacy Trapp, and Michael Trapp, all of El Capitan, New Mexico; numerous great-grandchildren; and brother, Jack Wallace of Gilmer, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Carol Trapp, granddaughter, Angel Wilson, and grandson, Warren Norris.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2014, at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
