William “Bill” Stilwell III, 76, of McKinney, TX passed away on April 5, 2006 at home after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa. where he graduated from Penn Charter Preparatory School. In 1951, he graduated with honors from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He later served in the Navy during the Korean War. Bill held various executive positions in the mining and healthcare industries. He was a long-time board member of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association and served for 13 years as President of the Parkinson’s Disease Association of San Diego. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Ruth Hasfurther Stilwell; son, John Polster Stilwell; daughters, Cynthia Stilwell Mansueto and Susan Stilwell Tyng and seven grandchildren. Bill will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and his tireless crusade against Parkinson’s Disease. Services will be private.
