Mr. William Scott Purser, age 67, of Princeton, Texas passed away January 20, 2008. He was born January 6, 1941, in Collin County, Texas to William “Bill” Joshua and Nora Ellen (Staley) Purser. On October 6, 1978, he married Linda Kay Box in Princeton. Mr. Purser was a mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Linda Purser; sons, Randy Purser and wife Sheryl, David Paul Purser and wife, Tammy all of Princeton, Ricky Lee Purser of Amarillo, Texas, Ronnie Purser and wife, Caroline of Port Orchard, Washington, and Dean Cross and wife, Barbara of Richardson, Texas; brothers, Lee Roy Purser and wife Linda, Robert Purser and wife Brenda, and John Purser all of Princeton, and Charles Purser and wife, Shirley of Westminster, Texas; sisters, Ida Carr and husband Steve, Barbara Everhart all of Princeton, Joyce Berry and husband Don, and Lulu Mae West all of Ft. Worth, Texas; 22 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ronnie Joe Purser and Bobby Purser; sister, Elizabeth Davidson; son, Jimmy Purser; and granddaughter, Amber Purser. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 24, 2008, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Roger Berghauser officiating. Interment will follow at Princeton Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel.
