Mr. William “Bill” Knight Parker, age 85, of Allen, Texas passed away July 4, 2009, in McKinney, Texas. He was born on May 4, 1924, in Dallas, Texas to Horace Badget and Hattie Blanche (Howell) Parker. He was married to Marcella Slocum for seventeen years. On May 16, 1966, he married Helen Jean Alexander in Dallas and they were happily married for 43 years. Bill proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps and was a veteran of World War II. He retired in 1977 as a Captain from Braniff International, after flying for them for 28 years. He was also a member of The Masons for 50 years. Bill is survived by his wife, Helen; children: Carol Crowder of McKinney, Pamela Helton and her husband, Dwaine of Mesquite, Bill Parker, DDS and his wife, Ahnna of Lubbock, and Scott Parker and his wife, Janet of Allen; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Shirley Reach, and grandchild, Wendy Crowder.. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Pastor Dennis George officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
