William L. Newark, Sr., age 73, of Plano, Texas, passed away July 5, 2008. He was born July 29, 1934 in Salamanca, New York to Clarence and Esther (Springer) Newark. He proudly served in the United States Navy where he served on Guam and the United States. On February 14, 1958 he married Shirley DeBoy in Salamanca, New York. William was a member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Newark of Plano, Texas; son, William L. Newark, Jr. of Olean, New York; daughter, Loretta Eaton-Stafford of Plano, Texas; sister, Myrtle White of Killbuck, New York; granddaughter, Amber Wagner of Olean, New York; grandsons, William L. Newark III of New Braunfels, Texas and Kevin Eaton of Plano, Texas; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Haliegh Wagner of Olean, New York and a host of other family members and friends. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Allen, Texas.
