William Scott McNamara, age 47, of Plano, Texas, passed away at his home on October 23, 2009. Scott was born September 14, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, to William Frederick and Barbara Prewitt (Reeves) McNamara. He graduated from J. J. Pearce High School in 1981. He attended Texas Tech University and graduated from North Texas State University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Scott began his career as a claims adjuster with Farmers Insurance and later was with the Special Investigation Unit with Charter Group. He then achieved his dream of becoming an insurance agent with Farmers Insurance Group. Scott loved being a father to his two boys and was involved in all of their activities, including sports and Boy Scouts. He is survived by his wife, Lynn McNamara of Plano; son, Richard McNamara of Plano; mother and step-father, Barbara and David Reeves of New Braunfels; step-mother, Darlene McNamara of Plano; grandmother, Jewell Faulkner of Garland; brother, Pat McNamara of Plano; step-brothers, Kevin Misak of Bartonville and Clay Reeves of San Antonio; step-sisters, Karen Ramseur of Dallas, Julie Williamson of Dallas, and Brenda Egnatovich of Aurora, Colorado; and numerous other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan McNamara and father, Bill McNamara. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 29, 2009, at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 5100 W Plano Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75093 with Rev. Msgr. R. James Balint officiating. Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Baker Cemetery in Tolosa, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the church on Wednesday evening.
