William Charles “Bill” LeRoy, III, of Fairview, Texas, passed away November 3, 2010, in his home at Heritage Ranch. Bill was born March 5, 1939, in Waterbury, Connecticut, to William Charles and Catherine (Mulcunry) LeRoy. He married Rosemary O’Keefe on August 18, 1962, in Waterbury, Connecticut. Bill graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He went on to have a successful career in the aviation industry. Bill loved baseball. He spent many years as a pitcher, a fan, and a respected coach. Although Bill lost his leg in 1987, he never lost his positive attitude and always had a smile, a story or a joke for everyone. He was motivating, captivating, and inspirational. Bill’s love of family, trains and sunsets will live on forever. He is survived by his wife Rosemary, sons William IV, John, Martin and daughter Ellen. Daughters-in-law Eileen and Lauren. Grandchildren Andrew, Billy, Tori, Joey, Josh and Rachel. Sisters Marita O’Keefe, Frances Smith, Myrna Smith and Alice Cogswell. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Brenda and son David. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, November 8, 2010, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
