William Travis Hall

William Travis Hall of McKinney, Texas passed away September 5, 2013, at the age of 81. He was born September 24, 1931 to Elvin Franklin Hall and Ollie Lavera (Graves) Hall in Bogata, Texas. Travis grew up in Winnsboro, Texas where he graduated from Winnsboro High School. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Travis attended and graduated from North Texas State University with a bachelor degree in business. At NTSU, he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He worked for Johnson Outboard as the area service manager then later worked for OMC Distribution Center, Bayliner Boats in Austin, Texas and then worked for Ray Barber Boats in the Dallas area. Travis, an accomplished pilot, loved to fly and owned two airplanes. One of which, a Tempco Swift that he rebuilt and restored, won many awards throughout the country. He earned his A & P (Airframe & Power Plant) license. Travis also enjoyed music and playing the Plano.  

His is survived by his children, William Tyler Hall and wife Jill of the Colony, Texas, Dana Leann Tupa and husband Rick of Jacksonville, Florida, Noel Weston Hall and wife Shilo of Nederland, Colorado; wife, Lynne Hall of Carrollton, Texas; grandchildren, Jordan, Hannah, Noah, and Chloe, and a host of other loving friends and family.

Travis was preceded in death by his parents.  

A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2013 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas. Graveside Services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
