William “Billy” Evans, age 74, of Anna, Texas passed away October 4, 2009. He was born October 19, 1934 in Collin County, Texas to William Elbert and Willie Edna (Vermillion) Evans. Billy married Marjorie Sue Evans in June of 1955 in Wellington, Texas. He was a member of Altoga Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He loved life and people with a twinkle of mischief in his eye. He is survived by his wife, Sue Evans of Anna, Texas; daughter, Theresa Hendricks and husband, Brent of Anna, Texas; sons, Robert Evans and wife, Marie of Trenton, Texas, John Evans and wife, Suzanne of Allen, Texas; brothers, Bob Evans of Allen, Texas, Troy Lee of Ft. Worth, Texas and Gene Evans of Allen, Texas; seven grandchildren, Chavonne York, Chet Hendricks, Cody Hendricks, John B. Evans, Beth Evans, Sara Sparks and Sena Sparks; two great-grandchildren, Hagen and Kenneth York. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Willie Evans, seven brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Pastor Roger Berghauser and Rev. Pat Alphin officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Monday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
