Our beloved husband, father, brother, Pop, William C. "Bill" Stae, 79, of Melissa, Texas passed away January 27, 2006 in McKinney, Texas. He was born July 29, 1926 in Garrison, Texas to Fredrick Chester and Berta Tressie (Garrett) Stae and married the love of his life of almost 59 years, Zula Pearl Duty February 2, 1947 in Belton, Texas. Mr. Stae retired with the U. S. Army in 1966 serving during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He later retired with Texas Instruments in 1986. He was a 50 year 32nd degree Mason and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Stae is survived by his wife, Zula Stae of Melissa, Texas; son, William C. "Curt" Stae of Melissa, Texas; daughters: Carolyn Jean Davis and her husband Billy of Euless, Texas and Janice Cherie Stae of Plano, Texas; 2 grandchildren: Cami C. Simonis & Carrie M. Shillingburg; 5 great grandchildren: Kade, Cammarie, Caleb, Jacob, & Joseph; sister, Nelda Meade of Allen, Texas and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents. We love you and we'll miss you…untill we meet again. Private military honors were held Monday, January 30, 2006 at Ridgeview Memorial Park with his brother-in-law Pastor James Duty officiating.
