William Anthony Dassori

William Anthony Dassori, 75, of Celina, Texas, passed away on March 23, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on January 3, 1942 in Red Bank, New Jersey to Edward Louis Dassori and Louise Marie (Mora) Dassori. He and Brenda Cannon were married on May 29, 1965 in McGehee, Arkansas. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Delaval/Siemens in Trenton, New Jersey from 1967-2006. He was a lifetime resident of New Jersey until moving to Celina, Texas in 2015.

William had an appreciation for the fine arts; he enjoyed music, history and wood crafting. He loved traveling and his beloved cat, Gizzy. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He had also been a member of the Theta XI Fraternity since 1964 and belonged to the Republicans Senatorial Inner Circle.

William was of the catholic faith and a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Church in Hightstown, New Jersey.

He will always be remembered as a people person who never met a stranger and was the neighborhood watchman and advisor.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Dassori of Celina, Texas; daughter, Prea Dassori-Hershberger and husband Jeff of Celina, Texas; daughter, Colette Jones and husband Steffen of Kilgore, Texas; two grandchildren, Troy Anthony Jones and Cheyanne Nicole Jones; his beloved cat, Gizzy and numerous cousins and friends in both the United States and Genoa, Italy.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
