Mrs. Willena M. Moore, age 92, of Melissa, Texas passed away October 3, 2008, in Dallas, Texas. She was born November 18, 1915, in Melissa to John and Clara (Taylor) Milrany. On June 1, 1940, she married George W. Moore in Melissa. Mrs. Moore was an 83 year member of Melissa Christian Church and served as Treasurer for many decades. She was a member of the McKinney Chapter #518 of Order of the Eastern Star, Gas Lighters Book Review Club, and a longtime board member of the Melissa Cemetery Association. Mrs. Moore worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in McKinney, Texas for 36 years. She is survived by her nieces, Linda Milrany Wright of Garland, Texas, Donna Cleland and Sarah Cleland Davis both of Dallas, Texas; nephew, Alton Milrany of Houston, Texas; and 7 great nieces and nephews and many friends. Her husband George Moore, preceded her in death on November 22, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Clara Milrany; and brothers, Earl and Bud Milrany. The family wishes to express graditude to the staff at Monticello West Retirement Home where Willena lived the past 3 ½ years. Michael, Barbara, John, Rose, their staffs and Dr. John Hollingsworth became her extended family and she loved them dearly. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 6, 2008, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Jan Sullivan, Rev. Linda Wright, and Rev. Mike McConachie officiating.
