Wilhelmina Janie Helm, age 84, of Waller, Texas passed away February 11, 2006, in Dallas, Texas. She was born September 18, 1821, in Okolona, Mississippi to Guy and Wilhelmina (Deavenport) Lowe. She married Rufus Nixon Helm. Mrs. Helm taught school in Mississippi and Texas for 38 years until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Tomball, Texas. She is survived by her children, Susan Garrett and husband, John of Waller, Texas and Nick Helm and wife, Karen of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Peyton Helm, Megan Helm, Channing Garrett and Deaven Garrett; and brother, Guy S. Lowe and wife, Jean of West Memphis, Arkansas. Her parents, husband and granddaughter, Bethany Garrett preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2006, at Tomball United Methodist Church with Pastor Richard White officiating.
