Wesley Morris Newell, age 77, of Allen, Texas, passed away June 7, 2010 in Plano, Texas. Wesley was born February 1, 1933, in Greenville, Texas, to Roscoe and Mary (Frye) Newell. He married Sarah Helon Newell on January 17, 1954 who preceded him in death in 2009. Wesley was the owner of Design Builders, Inc. He served as president of the Plano Chamber of Commerce and was also on the board of directors for the Metropolitan Home and Apartments Builders Association. Wesley and his peanut brittle will be sorely missed. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Pace and husband, Greg of Edmond, Oklahoma; sons, Wayne Newell of Houston, Texas and Don Newell of Jacksonville, Florida; brothers, J. C. and wife, Dokie, Lewis and wife, Phyllis, Truett and wife, Sandra, and Don and wife, Barbara; and sisters-in-law, Ann Miracle and husband, Billy and Carolyn Newell. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roscoe Newell, Jr. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Dr. Danny Buster officiating.
