Wendell Ervin Holder, age 68, of Allen, Texas, passed away February 23, 2011, in Plano, Texas. Wendell was born June 25, 1942, in McKinney, Texas, to William Ervin and Mary Jean (Tarvin) Holder. He married Paula Jan Mobley on January 16, 1971, in Seymour, Texas. Wendell retired from Rockwell/Collins in 1997. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Allen. He is survived by his wife, Paula Holder of Allen, Texas; daughters, Kima Spurgin and husband, Mark of McKinney, Texas and Amy Snodgrass and husband, Eric of Allen, Texas; four grandchildren, Kasie Spurgin, Tanner Spurgin, Presley Snodgrass, and Payge Snodgrass; mother, Mary Jean Bridgefarmer of McKinney, Texas; sisters, Evita Patton and Tina Phillips, both of McKinney, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Rev. Joe Patton officiating. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
