Weldon Fate Corbell, 83, was received into glory on Tuesday, May 4, 2004. He was born on July 9th, 1920 to W. F. Corbell and Eva Cooper Smith and married Annie Imogene Boles on October 6th, 1945. After earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees from East Texas State University, Weldon dedicated his life to education and school administration including Frisco, Trinidad, and Little Elm ISDs. Weldon had a love of Christ, family, his country, and community. He never met a stranger, always had a story to tell, and shot his age in golf. His life was defined, not by what he had, but by the impact that he had on others. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Annie Imogene; three daughters, Charlotte Fain and husband Jerry, Rhonda Gayle and husband Terry, Laurie Calhoun and husband Mike; son, Bill Corbell and wife Lauri; sister, Betty Asbill; grandchildren, Meredith, Nicole, Jordan, Colin, Lynlee, and Haley; niece, Priscilla Ross; special caretaker Beckett; and numerous other cousins, relatives, former students, and friends. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:30 PM, Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 8520 Main Street in Frisco, Texas. A Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, May 7, 2004 at Living Word Baptist Church in Little Elm, Texas with Pastor Nick Farley officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 PM at Garrett’s Bluff Cemetery in Garrett’s Bluff, Texas with a visitation 2:00-3:00PM.
