Wayne Lee Rogers

Wayne Lee Rogers, age 72, of Richardson, Texas, passed away on May 17, 2012 after a long illness.  He was born August 5, 1939, in Davenport, Iowa, to Harry and Pearl (Soppeland) Rogers.  On September 3, 1960, Wayne married Judy Spaulding in Muscatine, Iowa.  He was the Service Director for Rodger Meier Cadillac for twenty two years.  Wayne was a lifelong member of General Motor’s Craftsman League and a past president and treasurer for the GM Parts and Service Club of Central Texas. He won numerous service and business awards from GM’s Cadillac Division.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Rogers of Richardson; children, Neal Rogers of Allen, Texas, Tim Rogers and wife Darla also of Allen, Texas, Leslie Williams and husband Michael of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Brett Rogers, Kylie Rogers, Lauren Rogers, Taylor Rogers, Hunter Rogers, Logan Williams, and Owen Williams; brothers, Jerry Rogers of Davenport, Iowa and Larry Rogers of Des Moines, Iowa; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved relatives.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Pearl Rogers.

Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman who also loved spending time with his family and going to his grandchildren’s ball games and school activities.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, in Allen, Texas.
