Mrs. Wanda Taylor, age 83, of McKinney, Texas passed away March 26, 2011, in McKinney. She was born on June 6, 1927, in Weatherford, Texas to Jasper Claude and Virdie M. (Queen) Smithers. On April 29, 1941, she married Joseph Weldon Taylor in Ft. Worth, Texas. Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Melba Taylor of Palestine, Texas and Ronnie and Kendra Taylor of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Tammy Salas, Tommie Taylor, Lloyd Taylor, Timmy Taylor, Ronald Taylor, Casey Williams, Billy Keel and Wanda Moncier; 16 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; and brother, Kenneth Smithers and wife, Barbara of Lake Whitney, Texas; and other special family members of the heart, Joe and Becky Pelham and their children, Danny and Nicole. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph in 2002; son, Weldon Taylor; grandson, Ronnie Taylor, Jr.; great grandson, Doobie Flowers; 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2011, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Pastor Robert Corser officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
