Wanda Gay Hastings Ping was born October 22, 1959 in Sherman, Texas to Jerry C. Hastings and Ola Fay Rice Hastings. She married Robert Kenneth Ping on June 9, 1996 in Tom Bean, Texas. She died Monday, January 26, 2015 at Denison Manor in Denison, Texas at the age of 55.
Wanda was a resident of Whitewright and a member of Kentuckytown Baptist Church.
She is survived by son, David Bruce Ping and fiance Skylar Coulston and granddaughter, Raylie Ping of Whitewright; sisters, Martha Blakey and husband Frank, and Sharon Gilbreath and husband Bill, all of Whitewright; nephews, Donny Blakey, Brian and Jerry Gilbreath; nieces, Tammy Francis and Karry Billy; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ping and parents, J.C. and Fay Hastings.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 PM, Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Brother Charles Sneed and Rev. Rodney Stanford. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas. Pallbearers will be Jeff Francis, Donny Blakey, Brian Gilbreath, Jerry Gilbreath, Trevor Gilbreath, and Randy Watson. The family will receive friends, Thursday, from 10:00am until service time.
