Wanda Camille Blackstone

Mrs. Wanda Camille Blackstone, age 64 of Fairview, Texas passed away on April 25, 2005 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on May 26, 1940 to Elton Vernon and Evelyn (Rains) Riley. She married William Blackstone on February 3, 1962 in Woodsboro, Texas. She lived in Texas since the 5th grade. She attended the Woodlands United Methodist Church and most recently Allen First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Blackstone retired as a school counselor. She was employed with New Caney ISD, Houston ISD, Conroe ISD, Roosevelt ISD and El Paso, ISD. She was a member of the American Association of University Women. She received her Bachelors in English at the University of Texas and her Masters in Counseling at Sam Houston State. Mrs. Blackstone is survived by her husband of 43 years, William Blackstone of Fairview, Texas; sons, William Riley Blackstone and wife, Mindy of Conroe, Texas and Robert Timothy Blackstone and wife, Kelly of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Jordan, Morgan Leigh, Lacy, Jayce, Morgan Faye, James Dean, and Keaton; and cousins, O.E. and Gloria Moore of Crossroads, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 29, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church in Allen, Texas with Rev. Milton Guttierrez and Rev. Buster Page officiating. Interment will be at 4:00 PM, Friday at Mount Zion Cemetery in Louisiana. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
