Walter Lee Scott, of Allen, Texas passed away October 15, 2012 at the age of 75. He was born July 6, 1937, in Sweetwater, Texas, to Bill and Helen Scott. In May of 1985, Walter married Connie Scott, in Big Spring, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Connie L. Scott of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Brandi Scott of Allen, Texas; sons, Jerry Lee Wrightsil of Dallas, Texas, Willie Edward Wrightsil (Jaqueline) of McKinney, Texas and Darrell Eugene Wrightsil (Venita) of Little Elm, Texas; grandchildren, Jamiel Wrightsil, LeKenya Wrightsil, Kiara Wrightsil, Courtney Rutledge, Kendal, Zachary Wrightsil, Amari Wrightsil, Jade Wrightsil, Donovan Wrightsil, Porsha Scott, LaBraronnie Mitchell, Aspen Mitchell, Cloey Mitchell; great grandchildren, Kadrian Wrightsil, Jakiyah Wrightsil, Carashia Rutledge, Johnathan Miles, Jermiah Miles and Josiah Miles.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Helen Scott; four brothers, Charles, William, Bobby and Eugene Scott; and his sister, Annie Mae Giles.
A funeral service is being held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2012 at Greenville Avenue Church of Christ, in Richardson, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., on Thursday evening, October 18, 2012 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. A private graveside service will be held at DFW National Cemetery, in Dallas, Texas, where he will be laid to rest.
